James Barbour

James starred as ‘The Phantom’ in Broadway’s The Phantom Of The Opera, won the LA Ovation Best Actor Award for his portrayal of ‘Jean Valjean” in Les Miserables and was nominated for the Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Best Actor Awards for for his portrayal of Sydney Carton in Broadway ’s A Tale of Two Cities. He has also starred Broadway in such Tony-Award winning Broadway shows as Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as The Beast, Carousel as Billy Bigelow, Urinetown as Lockstock, Edward Rochester in Jane Eyre (Drama League Award nomination) and appeared opposite Jeremy Irons in Camelot at The Hollywood Bowl. He has been a keynote speaker and special guest performer on many stages worldwide including Grant Cardone’s 10X Growth Con in 2017 and 2018. Jamie Chamberlin

Recognized by Opera News for her “shimmering tones”, Greek-American soprano Jamie Chamberlin is thrilled to return to WDCH, where she made her professional debut with the LA Phil singing the world-premiere of Salonen’s Wing on Wing. A frequent collaborator at Long Beach Opera since her stunning turn as Marilyn Monroe in Marilyn Forever by Gavin Bryars (US Premiere), she recently dazzled as Faustine in Stewart Copeland’s (The Police)The Invention of Morel, for which she was praised as “a wonder who soars into the cosmos with her superhuman soprano” (Schmopera). Favorite roles at LBO include Cunegonde in Candide, and Hazel George in the US Premiere of Glass’ The Perfect American (also at Chicago Opera Theater). In 2017 she debuted the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor with Pacific Opera Project. Nathan Granner

Tenor Nathan Granner, a renowned solo and collaborative artist, has a “vibrant and flexible” voice (The Boston Globe) and “possesses utter control of a ravishing mixed head sound.” (Opera News) Mr. Granner uses his voice in a variety of artistic and expressive styles, ranging from opera to jazz and classical cross-over performances. As an opera singer, Mr. Granner has performed with Spoletto Festival USA, Lyric Opera Kansas City, Opera Theater of St. Louis, Tulsa Opera, Wolf Trap Opera and Glimmerglass Opera as well as many others.
