Emily Dyer

Hailed as delightfully “free-spirited with an agile, strong voice” (Palm Beach Arts Paper), Emily Dyer is at home on both the musical theater and operatic stage. Her most recent credits include Lily (The Secret Garden), Musetta (La Boheme), and Marian Paroo (The Music Man).

Ms. Dyer concertizes as a soloist across the U.S., with notable collaborations including the Amici Symphony Orchestra, Utah Festival Opera, Pacific Symphony, and the California Philharmonic at venues such as Walt Disney Concert Hall and Segerstrom Hall. In competition, she has most recently been recognized by the Metropolitan Opera National Council, the Redlands Bowl, and the Concorso Lirico International Opera Competition. She trained at Chapman University and Indiana University and her tutelage under Carol Neblett, Tim Noble, and Marya Basaraba has inspired her love of teaching and sharing music with young people.

Cedric Berry

Cedric Berry wields “a bass-baritone of considerable power and agility” (The Chicago Tribune), projecting “machismo and a voice of fabulous mettle to the theatre’s last row….tossing off difficult passagework and deploying dazzling thunderbolts of sound at the top of the range” (Voix des Arts). He has performed with Los Angeles Opera, The Industry Opera, Chicago Opera Theatre, Long Beach Opera, Savonlinna Opera Festival of Finnland, Banlieurs Bleues Festival of France, and the Ravinia Music Festival, to name a few. He has appeared with Pacific, Arizona and Santa Fe Symphony, Luckman Jazz orchestra, Pasadena Pops Orchestra, California Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Telemann Chamber Orchestra of Japan. He has also been the recipient of several awards including first place in the Metropolitan Opera Western Region Competition.

Orson Van Gay II

Tenor Orson Van Gay II possesses a unique voice and captivates the audience with his charisma and command of the stage. He recently debuted as tenor soloist with Pacific Symphony at the Segerstrom Concert Hall. He premiered the role of Bernard Curson Cherubino in LA Opera’s Figaro 90210, Ben in Todd Goodman’s Night of the Living Dead, Orlando in the nationally acclaimed production of Hopscotch, and a myriad of concerts with LA Opera. In February 2018, he debuted with Center Stage Opera as Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore and with SINO U.S. Performing Arts Organization. This July, Orson made his title role debut in Bernstein’s Candide, and will make his debut as Alfredo in Pacific Opera Projects production of La Traviata in October. He has been featured in major television commercials and series.

Nandani Maria Sinha

Mezzo-soprano Nandani Maria Sinha is an internationally acclaimed and multiple award-winning singer known for her passionate performances and great presence. Nandani began the 2017-18 season with the LA Opera Chorus in The Hubble Cantata by Paola Prestini, followed by performances as Lily and Our Lady in Golden the Musical by Hollywood film composer Nathan Wang. She collaborated with LA Opera, performing Old Lady in Candide for their Opera for Educators series, leading their Saturday Mornings at the Opera Singing Workshops, and in recital with Renee Fleming for a performance co-sponsored by Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles. She finishes the season performing Dvorak’s Stabat Mater with Palisades Symphony Orchestra. She will also appear as Wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast. 2019 Ms. Sinha returns to Opera Santa Barbara where she will be performing with Samuel Ramey in Eugene Onegin.
